Red Sox Nation

Before - After

You could cut the tension in this town with a limp noodle. Playoffs. Red Sox.

The whispers started yesterday as we knew that we were going to California.

Think we are going to win?

Are the Angels any good?

They cant beat Curt, can they? (they can)

People started passing in the slips to take a little time off. People didnt complain about the 4:00 start time. We cant complain about anything, we just accept. Its the post season. Its a west coast game. Thats the way it is.

Its not so much a Zen state, but a catatonic one.

Shilling tonight. Pedro Tomorrow.

The whole office is still fresh from last years loss. The whole city is cut from last years lost. Our blood is still dried on the carpet.

Are we really going to do this again? (yes)

Is there anyway we dont have to play the Yankees? (we could lose)

This is Boston. This is the home of the tragic heros that swing wood to send balls over walls. It sounds silly, but these athletes are our Hollywood. They are our superstars walking the streets with us. They burn they muscles and bend their joints for us. For our hope.

The town is six feet off the ground with hope right now. I dont expect you to understand, but I just want to tell you that this is Boston.

We are the Red Sox Nation.
