Santa, Tooth Fairy, and Tom Brady don't exist.

Last Night the Patriots Lost to the Colts, and before I got any further, I wanted to point out clearly that the Colts beat us. (there is no �we were the better team crap.� We weren�t.)

I compared the Patriots to the Yankees, my most hated team, the vile and disgusting yankees.

Why? Its not because the Patriots buy championships. I'm more refering to that winning attitude and the winning edge.

I wasn�t able to articulate last night but when the Yankees won 4 World Series in a row, they had magic. Their magic materialize in a few ways.

1) They won every close game.
2) They got one big hit when they needed it.
3) They had Mariano Rivera.

And then a shocking thing happened in 2004. Rivera came in, and someone got on base.

Yankee fans were okay with that. They knew that person would never reach home. Then, Rivera gave up that hit. The hit that kept the Red Sox alive, and they had a feeling.

�That doesn�t happen to us.�

And frankly, if the Patriots are up 21-6 at half time. We never lose. No really. We�ve never lost with a two touchdown lead.

So let me be the first to say, wow.

The Patriots have been quietly villianized through their winning in the same way the Yankees had been. Same way every really good team has been. You win a few � and then you�re the best � and the next step is the fall. Thats what people want to see. Because the Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers, and Patriots can�t hold on forever.

This game officially marked the fall.

The hat is out of Rabbits. We used all the Patriots voodoo we had. The fumble for a touchdown. The Gaffney �pushed out� touchdown. The Troy Brown Strip.

We are out of tricks.

And the team I love, the team that I never felt nervous watching, died last night.

The Patriots don�t make mistakes like that. When they lose � we�re behind all game.

Its like the Yankees. When they are up by ONE run in the 9th � game is over. Every Yankee Fan new it until 2004, game 4.

Never again will they fully trust Rivera. Never Again will I fully trust Belichick and Brady.

Are we done? No.

The Yankees buy their players, and in football you can�t do that. Which is why the Patriots aren�t villains.

There isn�t an unlikeable member of the whole team, sans Crack-eye Caudwell.

We have two first round picks this year!

The team looked like a rebuilding team on paper all year long.

Nevertheless � they don�t lose the game when they had so many chances to end it.

SO?

Do we blame the hen or the cook when the eggs are bad? I�ll be truthful. The Colts won.

Just like the Red Sox � they toppled the team that redefined winning in the modern era.

And you know what? There isn�t a single player on the colts that isn�t likeable, classy, or professional.

Did you see anything but respect by the Colts? There was no trashtalk. There was no bickering. There were no celebrations.

The Colts learned from the Patriots, and now Manning is going to the superbowl.

Manning Marino and Miami for the next two weeks.

The final Monkey dies in Miami.

I really must say that I am sad to the core that Patriots magic is dead. We will still be a good team, but we won�t be that undefeatable juggernaut. We won�t have that edge any longer.

The torch is passed to the Colts. They�ve beaten us three times now, at home, and in the playoffs. The public loves them for losing. They love them for winning last night.

The Patriots will be good as long as Brady and Belichick are on the team, but the Championships ahead lie in the hands of the curse dumping Colts.
