Gump, I'm so happy to hear your news. I've been praying or wishing or whatever it is I do for you, your mom and your dad. These surgeries always have to happen on holidays don't they, but it looks like this will turn out as well as possible. Give your mom lots of hugs and one goes to you from me. :D

Hooray for Gumpys Mum! Now you'd better start planning to prepare thanksgiving dinner yourself. I think you should start by making an indian costume to wear, complete with feathers, war paint and a loin cloth. You should speak nothing but injun and make sure you say pass the maize instead of corn. That'll be a nice touch.

I had a lump removed about 8 years ago and have been fine ever since. Good karma to you and your mom, Gump. Now you really have something to give thanks for on Thanksgiving. :-)

I am so happy to hear that it's not as serious as they first thought. My Aunt had breast cancer and while she had to have a mastectomy she has had no trouble with it since. Thank goodness I'm adopted both sides of my family are a sickly bunch. Anywho look at all that pointless information up there I can never just get to the point. This is a great thing to give thanks for now. Now I sound like a Hallmark card.

I'm happy to hear that all is a positive outlook. My boyfriend's mother passed away from breast cancer because they found it too late. I'm glad that they found your mother's very early and able to stop it from enlarging. My prayers to you and your family.

That is great news, and I'm so glad they caught it so early. I hope all goes well with the surgery. And you are so right, you live in the best area ever for medical care. That whole Brookline Ave/Longwood Ave area is awesome.

Now, here you have the perfect opportunity to show an interest in breast exams. Maybe as a charitiable effort, you could make yourself available to examine women's breasts for lumps.

Jackie, I will do it, for the children...

i'm sorry to hear of your mom's illness, but it sounds like her chances are excellent. i work with/for children being treated for cancer in the same hospitals and i know she's getting the best possible care. that said, why on earth have i not added you to my favorites before now? that's all gonna change. xoxo, d

Oh, Gumpy, you HAVE to do an Imaginary Girlfriend list. PLEASE!?!?! No one is saying it's reality. Well, okay, actually, if you saw my ex-husband, you'd know I really did marry my type, jaw, hair, brows, and all. But still! I don't really expect to find someone who looks like the men on my list. Well, okay, really, I do. But still! Men are different! We know you don't REALLY want anorexic models with implants. Tell us! TELL US!

Glad to hear that there is a very postive future for this cancer your mom has. I will be thinking of her the day of her procedure and truly wishing all the best!

I'm happy to hear that good news, Gump. I've been reading you for quite a while now. I rarely leave notes, but I love your journal. I hope you have a good thanksgiving. P.S. I spanked my monkey at 433 MPH..beat that!
