Dude, Gump, I hear you about feeling guilt as a feminist for wanting something less than a high-powered position. Is it wrong that I could easily see myself teaching in Japan for a long time simply because the hours are short and the pay is good? You'd think a girl with my education should be shooting for the stars and have a strong career path mapped out, but I struggle with accepting my "be like the birds and don't worry about tomorrow" approach. Why shouldn't I get by on whatever comes my way and the kindness of strangers and generous men (like boyfriends and my dad)?

Pfft, I don't want or need equality, why would I bring any man up to my level? I love men and I especially love being able to alternate between (or combine) my looks and my intelligence to negotiate an advantage in any situation. The English accent doesn't hurt either ... ;)

Some of my best friends are black.

I like hanging out with gay guys because you get the best of both worlds. They can lift heavy things and talk about Broadway musicals. And I don't have to dress slutty to impress them.

I am a feminist and submissive in the bedroom. If my man wants to buy me a drink, I let him. If I want to buy him a drink, I can do that, too. I think feminism is taking a new direction now away from the bra-burning man-hating one. Yay women! Yay men! Yay everyone!

Yeah, I basically hate everyone equally.

I only turn into a feminist when I can't get what I want by batting my lashes or flashing my tits.

Personally I embrace the differences between men and women. I think both sexes have a place, a role, a job to do. Yes, sometimes they overlap, and when they do I believe women should be paid an equal wage in the business world, and stay-at-home-Dads should get the same respect women do, but for the most part, I like it the way it is. I agree with Liquid Human -- I think we're at a good place. Of all the "isms" I think feminism is the most balanced. Hell. Even strippers get respect (and make a shitload of money!) Go strippers!

I embrace the power of boobies.
